Replication Capacity — Measuring HIVs ability to replicate
Replication capacity is a new piece of the HIV treatment puzzle. The theory that HIV pays a "fitness price" when it becomes drug resistant has been shown in clinical studies utilizing Monogram's Replication Capacity (RC) assay. The findings of these studies suggest that there is a role for RC information in the management of HIV. The RC assay is available in combination with Monogram's PhenoSense™ HIV and PhenoSense GT™ drug resistance assays.
